Flying is the most popular way to get to Puerto Vallarta. Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport (PVR is located approximately 4 miles north of downtown and close to the major resorts. In Puerto Vallarta, there have more than 400 flights arriving weekly to the airport. Puerto Vallarta can be reached by public bus. The bus station is located about 7 miles north of town and has centralized bus travel in and out of Vallarta.
